The Paul Giroux Foundation, which was created in 1990 following the heart transplant of Mr Paul Giroux, is a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers. The Foundation is dedicated to inform the population and medical staff and raise awareness in order to advance the cause of organ donation throughout the territory of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Ungava.
